Finding The Right Real Estate Broker

Whether you are a recently licensed real estate agent or a seasoned professional looking for new opportunities, it is important to research your options by talking to different brokers before choosing one that offers you the opportunities you need to advance your career.

Start with a company in your local area and expand your search outward. Ask what they offer regarding agent support, training, administrative resources and marketing.

Then explore the real estate brokers from a clients perspective. Drive by the brokers office. Is the exterior appealing enough that would make you want to bring clients there? Make sure the office is conveniently located and has plenty of parking available for your clients. Evaluate the degree of professionalism in each form of advertising. Pay attention to yard signs, advertisements, open houses and social media presence.

A successful broker will have an attractive website and a solid presence on social media, including written reviews and testimonials.

Consider a large brokerage. An advantage of joining a larger firm, is that you immediately gain the reputation and trustworthiness of their name.

Another essential task is to research the company’s listing inventory and talk to the agents who work there. Ask a lot of questions.

Finally schedule and interview with Brokers before you go to school to determine who will be the best fit for you.
